The Carolina Screenwriters Group meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm at
the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church at 3307 Rea Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226
The meetings are open to the public including: students, teachers, actors, directors, producers,
screenwriters and those interested in the craft of screenwriting.
Guests may come to one meeting free of charge.
At each meeting of Carolina Screenwriters, we will:
1. Have an educational or creative element for the first 15 minutes of each meeting. (Longer forspecial guests)
2. Have a reading and Q&A of a member’s script (~ 25 pages worth) or a special event such as a pitch fest. You must be a member in good standing to have your script read. Group members will provide feedback on what they liked as well as what didn’t, offer suggestions and provide constructive criticism. *We’re writers so we have to learn to develop a thick skin and take criticism offered with intent to help us improve our craft.

New Rules for CS:
To be a member in good standing of Carolina Screenwriters, each member should:
1. Read 1 screenplay (of a fellow member or visitor) per quarter and provide feedback.
2. Submit 1 screenplay within the first year, at least a full “first draft”- this can be a short, television episode or movie, to full length feature. While we would like it to be in proper format it doesn’t have to be perfect. We just want to encourage you to write.
